I had the most incredible dining experience at BASK in Gili Meno. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such warmth and friendliness. Even before I made it to the entrance, a cheerful waiter welcomed me with a drink offer. I couldn’t resist, and the chargrilled pineapple margarita was absolutely delicious—something I had never tried before, but I would definitely order again in a heartbeat! The ambiance at BASK was truly something special. The space had an intimate yet expansive feel, with a luxurious touch that is hard to come by on this tiny island. Honestly, it’s the only place on Gili Meno that exudes a true sense of luxury, which made my visit feel even more exclusive. I was captivated by the modern mid-century design choices, with the stunning lovers sculpture taking center stage—it truly added to the overall charm. As for the food, it absolutely did not disappoint. I chose small dishes since I was dining alone, and each one was bursting with flavor. The edamame was not just steamed, but topped with a beautiful salt furikake that elevated the taste to a whole new level. The ceviche, served with a tiger’s milk sauce, was on par with some of the best I’ve had in Peru. And the chorizo and jalapeño pizza? Crispy, spicy, and just perfect. The only downside was the timing. By 10 PM, just an hour into my meal, I was rushed to pay, and the vibe shifted as the lights were dimmed and the staff started preparing to pack up for the night. It made me feel a bit awkward, especially as others around me were leaving. I do understand that Ramadan hours might have influenced this, but it would have been nice to know beforehand or for it to be noted on the website. It’s a small thing, but it did affect what would have been a perfect evening. Nonetheless, BASK is an absolute gem in Gili Meno, and I’ll be back for sure. The food, the service, and the vibe were all top-notch!

This is an amazing place. Soo calm and a really nice location on a beautiful island! The staff is so nice and will do everything for you. I would love to come here again!
