What a lovely cosy place to have a superb Sunday lunch. I loved the decor was in keeping for the period of the property and was very tasteful. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the lunch was the best I think I've ever had. Not only was it delicious but it was also plentiful and I probably shouldn't have eaten as much as I did. I hope to return on another day to sample their other daily menus and will certainly recommend it to family and friends as a place to have a thoroughly enjoyable meal in comfortable surroundings.

Little gem of a restaurant! Went with my daughter this evening for a late birthday celebration, after coming across it by chance online. The restaurant is small, unique and has a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly in a genuine way, no pretension here as in some places we have been. Really felt that they wanted us to have a good experience and enjoy the food, which we certainly did. Food was well presented and delicious. Will definitely be going back

The best roast we’ve ever had! We genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. The food was absolutely beautiful, the drinks were lovely. Our waitress Daisy was so lovely & friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

To get a member of Staff to come to our table was very Hard work. The fact that.there were tables available on a Saturday evening was strange. Food was OK but the whole atmosphere not great. We won't go there again.

We had our wedding lunch at The House for our group of 12. JJ was amazing, helping us refine our menu and agree seating, drinks etc. The communication was excellent all the way through. On the day, the service and food were fantastic. All of our party loved it and it made our wedding day special and took a lot of pressure off. We will be back again soon!

Went here for an early birthday meal with partner. My first time but partner had been previously when it was called Chop. Cosy and quaint little restaurant. We went for the signature menu and the food was excellent, no issues whatsoever, well cooked, did the grass fed beef fillet at medium perfectly! Always a good sign when a steak knife is not needed, meat simply melted, perfection! Cocktails here are very very good, old fashioned done properly, dark and stormy was a highlight. Service was impeccable, plenty of time to choose and dishes came out without a great deal of waiting. Staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Big bonus points for not sticking a service charge automatically on the bill, one of very few higher quality restaurants I've been to that doesn't attempt this for smaller tables, subsequently you end up tipping more because the service is so good and you don't feel like you're being charged twice, so kudos for this approach. We will be back and definitely recommend.
