I've been visiting this gym occasionally over the past few years whenever I’m in town. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to write this review out of frustration following my most recent visit. While the facility itself is excellent and the coaches are highly skilled—shoutout to Kojo, who has been a standout—I noticed a concerning shift in the atmosphere. The gym was noticeably quiet, and the overall vibe felt lacklustre, which was disappointing given its potential. The owner is a genuinely nice man, and the quality of coaching has always been a highlight. However, I’ve observed a high turnover of staff recently, which raises red flags for a gym of this calibre. During my visit, I witnessed the current manager addressing one of the staff members in a negative and dismissive manner. It was unprofessional and, frankly, off-putting. This interaction led me to wonder if the turnover is linked to her management style. Sadly, it seems like many of the original, long-term staff are no longer around—Kareem, who was one of my go-to trainers, is gone as well. I can only assume that the owner is left to clear up the manager’s mess and will need to address this situation quickly to prevent further long-term harm to the business. The passion and energy that once defined this gym now seem to be missing. It’s a real shame, as the facility has so much potential to succeed. In my opinion, a change in management is necessary to revive the spirit of this place. Ultimately, I decided to sign up for a membership at Third Space, even though I rarely use it. It’s disheartening to have moved on from what was once a fantastic gym, but the current environment left me with little choice. Going back there is not a option I would consider at this moment of time, whilst she is there.

Very poorly run. I came to get an ABC shake 3 times in the course of a 1-2 week period. They didn’t have the ingredients to make the shake the first time I came and supplies hadn’t yet arrived by the last time I came too. They offered to make it with half the ingredients missing, which is not great. In the end, opted not to order anything as wasted my time. Need to be more organised!

A dear friend of mine had invited me for a session after he had a positive interaction with a trainer called Kojo, however I was disappointed by the class as he was not the one leading the class as I had been invited on the basis that kojo would be leading the class as he displays a great workout and class. The class it self was only good for a complete beginner being introduced to boxing and it did not accommodate for boxers who are more advanced, as they had mentioned that it’s a class for all levels. In my opinion it was very basic. After the class the owner conducted in a unprofessional manner, talking about subjects that are not relevant to the class. That was a big let down, you’d be better off paying less money and going to an actual boxing gym. Overall not the best experience, and good luck.

Coffee was mediocre at best. I was having a look around the gym facilities (not much to look around as it is tiny) and came across a gym 'trainer' who seemed more interested in showing off in-front of his class than training them - at one point, he tried making awkward jokes of how i should spar with him. Would not recommend.. the vibe is off.

BuddhaBox has a score of 4.8 out of 5, labelled Excellent, from 175 reviews on TheReviews and its connected review sites. The score comes from one published formula: every business starts at 3.5 with the weight of 3 reviews, verified reviews weigh 1.0, organic reviews 0.7, and each review loses half its weight every year. Ratings on connected sites such as Google or Booking.com are blended in at 0.5 per review, together never outweighing 50 verified reviews, and every review counts towards how sure the score is, so many reviews elsewhere are not held back by the starting point. That places it 3 of 4 in Fitness. Read the formula with a worked example.
None yet, because nobody has written a review on TheReviews. A verified review comes through an invitation tied to a real order or through the API. Organic reviews, written by anyone with a confirmed account, count for 0.7 of a verified one.
There are no reviews on TheReviews to reply to yet. The profile is unclaimed; once the business claims it, it can reply to every review free of charge.
No. No plan at any price lets a business remove a review. BuddhaBox can post one public reply per review and can report a review that breaks the written guidelines. A person reads every report, and the outcome is recorded in the public moderation log either way. See the moderation log for BuddhaBox.
