(Translated by Google) A five-star establishment… but where the experience feels more like a staged performance than genuine luxury. We paid over €800 for three nights, just for accommodation: no breakfast or other meals included. At that price, one has the right to expect impeccable service. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Let's start with the beach: very few sun loungers, some without parasols, and it was impossible to get an extra one. Beneath the "eco-friendly" rhetoric, it might be wise to start by looking under the beach mattresses: they're dirty, hidden from guests' view, and the mattresses themselves are in a frankly questionable state. As for the villas, the real problem is the almost complete lack of privacy: a lot of overlooking, a feeling of being constantly exposed, even in the private pool area. And from 8 a.m., the pool attendant begins his routine around the pool, returning several times while we're still in our room. For a villa advertised as a private space, this is a real drawback. In the room, only four small bottles of water are provided per day; after that, everything else is extra. For a property costing over €260 a night without any meals included, this is quite stingy. A particularly surprising moment occurred around 4 p.m.: while we were in our room, the staff came to treat the premises with an unknown product, creating an impressive cloud of smoke and an infernal noise. The most reassuring thing? The employee was wearing a mask… but no explanation was given to the guests about what was being sprayed. To top it all off, in the middle of the afternoon, we were subjected to the noise of an angle grinder right next to our accommodation. Taken individually, this might seem trivial… but added to everything else, it starts to feel like a lot for a supposedly relaxing stay. At the pool, it's a club atmosphere from 3 pm onwards, with music blasting. We thought we were coming to Gili Meno for peace and quiet, not Gili Trawangan for a party vibe. And meanwhile, some guests are flying their drones over the pool and bar without anyone intervening. So much for privacy. A villa with a private pool? Sounds great on paper… except there aren't even any sun loungers, only chairs. A detail that pretty much sums up the gap between the marketing and reality. The evening restaurant is pleasant and the food is good, but the portions are practically symbolic: four grilled prawns with no sides, or three ravioli on a plate. At these prices, it's frankly meager. Regarding the hotel's main "attraction"—the famous submerged statues right in front of the property—it's important to clarify the reality: this attraction draws a constant stream of visitors, with dozens of boats passing by all day long to drop off tourists. The result: noise, constant commotion, and swimming has become complicated, even dangerous, amidst the constant coming and going of boats. Not exactly the image of tranquility they were advertising. And to finish with a rather revealing detail: at check-out, we were surprised to find a charge of 150,000 Indonesian rupiah for renting two pairs of fins for just two hours. Of course, nothing had been mentioned to us when we rented them. It's always a pleasure to discover this kind of "detail" at the end of your stay… And the best part: few sun loungers, not enough parasols, minimal portions… but a pillow menu with six different choices. Clearly, their priorities are a bit off. In short: a lovely setting, great potential, but the level of service falls far short of the advertised standard and the asking price. Over €800 for three nights without breakfast, with so little privacy and so many neglected details, leaves a bitter taste.

This was our second time staying here with our family, and once again it was absolutely wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. We truly love this place and highly recommend it. The service has improved a lot compared to last year, which made our experience even better. We especially want to highlight Rahim at breakfast — his attention and care were simply outstanding. He made every morning special. We love Rahim! If we had to mention one small downside, it would be that the raw food selection (like the Japanese options and raw fish) was slightly below the level we experienced during our previous stay. Everything else, however, was excellent. Thank you for another fantastic stay — we will definitely be back. Gracias, Manuel, por todo. Familia Capelastegui Mancini.

A special thank you to Rahim, who made the entire experience even more memorable with his warm and attentive service. He made us feel genuinely welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. Highly, highly recommended.
